Pharmaceutical-Grade Bacteriostatic Saline — 30mL Multi-Dose Vial
Hospira Bacteriostatic 0.9% Sodium Chloride (30mL) is a pharmaceutical-grade sterile saline diluent manufactured by Hospira, a Pfizer company. Each multi-dose vial contains 0.9% sodium chloride in water for injection, preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol.
The bacteriostatic preservative inhibits microbial growth after vial entry, allowing repeated draws from a single vial over an extended period without compromising sterility — the same multi-dose property as bacteriostatic water, in an isotonic saline base.
Saline vs Bacteriostatic Water
Bacteriostatic saline differs from bacteriostatic water in one way: the base solution is isotonic 0.9% sodium chloride rather than plain water for injection. Some research protocols specify an isotonic saline diluent for particular compounds; where a protocol simply calls for bacteriostatic water, our own BAC Water (3mL) and BAC Water (10mL) vials are the standard choice.

Aussie Peptides does not stock this item directly. We list it because researchers regularly ask us for a pharmaceutical-brand bacteriostatic saline option, and we refer those requests to Daza Enhanced— an independent Australian supplier we trust. Ordering, payment, and delivery are handled entirely by AusBacSupply on their own site; the button on this page takes you to their product listing.
